About Reliable Fire Equipment Company

	Founded in 1955 by Ernest Horvath, Reliable Fire Equipment Company has grown from a single truck route to one of the largest fire protection distributors in the Chicago area. In 1998, Debra Horvath became President of Reliable Fire Equipment Company. The company’s four divisions are structured to cover each of the various segments of the Fire Protection and Security Market.
The Portable Fire Extinguisher Division concentrates on the sales and service of portable fire extinguishers, fire hose, pre-engineered restaurant fire suppression systems, and the assorted traditional products which a customer would expect from a fire protection company.
The Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression Division includes the sales and service of Industrial Fire Alarms, Voice Evacuation Systems, Engineered Halon, Inergen, FM-200, FE13, FE25, FE227, Novac 1230, foam, carbon dioxide and dry chemical fire suppression systems.
The Security Network Division includes the sale and service of access control systems, CCTV and advanced security solutions. Reliable also provides U.L. Approved Central Station Monitoring and service for fire alarm burglar alarm and security systems.
	The First Aid Division focuses on the sales and service of First Aid Cabinets, replenishment supplies, CPR, First Aid Training and related safety equipment.
Our Corporate Headquarters is located in Alsip, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago.
