NFS2-640 Fire Alarm System

The NFS2-640 is an intelligent, addressable fire alarm system with modular design capable of meeting the needs of virtually any building application whether large or small. The unit can function as a stand alone fire alarm system or as a component in a larger networked system. This system is suitablle for use in small applications, large campus or high rise buildings. Its modular design allows maximum flexibility for adding additional devices at a later date.

System Highlights

The NFS2-640 features up to two isolated intelligent signaling line circuit (SLC)s configured in Style 4,6 or 7. Up to 159 detectors (of any mix) and 159 modules (manual stations, relays, etc) can be attached to each SLC in the system. When employed with the network option the unit can support up to 103 nodes (additional control panels or network control station) using wire or fiber-optic connections.

The heart of the NFS2-640 is FlashScan©*, a patented all digital protocol that gives superior precision and high noise immunity. FlashScan can poll 318 points on the SLC in less than two seconds. As of 2007 this was the largest device per loop capacity in the fire alarm industry.

• Supports VIEW (Very Intelligent Early Warning) smoke detector technology
• Supports up to ten releasing hazards complete with cross zoning (3 options), delay timer, discharge timer and abort
• Low pressure CO2 system listed
• Wire size minimum #14 AWG.

The NFS2-640 complies with NFPA Standard #72 for local, auxiliary, proprietary, remote and emergency voice alarm fire alarm systems. Complies with US standard 864 (9th edition). UL, ULC listed, Listed for low pressure CO2 system release.
